Bangkok is full of surprises. If you look hard enough, you can probably find something to satisfy every whim and fancy.
While searching for libraries in Bangkok, Daddy came across references for the Thailand Creative & Design Center (TCDC). Conveniently located near where we live - on the 6th floor of Emporium (up the escalator from SFX Cinama on the 5th floor) - it hosts one of the largest design and creativity resource centers in Asia. There are lots of books, magazines, journals, multimedia, online database and Material ConneXion Bangkok, a global platform for material solutions and innovations.
Mom went "treasure" hunting like a kid in a candy store, and Janelle and Andre went to Kinokuniya; Daddy and I sat outside the center and watched a documentary on preserving the environment and wildlife on the large screen on the wall.
If anyone gets glassy-eyed from looking at all the colors and fancy designs, they can chill in the little cafe outside the library, which had a live band and beautiful view of Benjasiri Park.
You can tell I loved the view; if the cleaners did not do their job properly, you can still find my hand and face prints on the glass...
