Rhythm and Music

Mommy is thinking about enrolling me in a baby gym or playgroup, as she wants me to interact with other baby friends. I have no problem with that, and I love moving my body to the rhythm whenever there is music. I can sing too, "ah Ah AH!" When Janelle plays her piano, I will crawl to her very quickly and sing beside her.

No doubt it makes me happy, and Mommy sings to me everyday during my shower and changing times. Maybe Mommy will let me learn the ballet, as Janelle regrets she is too old for it and too busy with her school work and activities. Andre has given up piano and switched to guitar. I think Mommy will eventually let me play the piano, since I show so much interest in it.

Concentration

Every Saturday, Janelle has piano lessons with a concert pianist - Sebastien Koch - at the Alliance Francaise, near Daddy's office. We usually spend the hour in the library, until class ends.

Last week, Mommy found a book for me. I could not recognize the words in the book yet, so I spent most of my time playing with it, flipping through and looking at the pictures. I was amazed by the Velcro "lock" on the cover: once Mommy taught me to how to open it, I stuck it back and pulled it open again and again. I stayed seated there for 20 minutes!

Nowadays, I can be fascinated, quietly focused on things for quite a while. The only problem is, I don't tell anyone when or why...
