Comfort Food

As the sun goes down on the Bangkok skyline, everyone heads home.

The beautiful sunset amidst hazy skies watches over us, as we sit down for dinner with family and friends.

Uncle Chiet and Auntie Yuriko prepared Japanese Beef Curry for us earlier this evening. While it may be an affordable  food of convenience towards the end of each month for the working class in Japan, as they scrimp and save to get through to pay day, it is a yummy dish that warms the heart and touches the soul... truly a comfort food.

Hooo... haaa... so spicy... NOT! Andre was the first to dig in and pretended it was very spicy, but Janelle was determined to have her share.

Unlike Mommy's curry, this was not at all spicy to me. I ate plenty and spent the rest of the evening dancing around the house.
