Photo Challenge - “We Heart Kisses”

Mommy: She is going through a phase, in which she is very choosy with her food. What's wrong?!? I wish I know. I sometimes have to prepare three or four different foods, in the hope that one would hit the mark. But she is one stubborn toddler, able to withstand all manner of enticing, pestering, coaxing and other tricks we try. I am worried that she relies on my breast milk to fill her stomach but does not get enough nutrients from solid foods. At times, I get so frustrated and so filled with helplessness that I can feel myself losing control, then somehow she senses this and cozies up to me, gives me a little hug, kisses me and whispers, "Ma ma..."

What a precious photo. Dustyn is also a picky eater. It is hard to get him to eat anything.

So sweet. I would have a hard time saying no to her face and her kisses.

That sounds just like my girl. Hang on there, Mommy. It'll get better.

Oh, what a touching reaction from Narelle! Me too, my son is very picky with his food, it's frustrating for me too when after cooking it, he refuses to eat it.

Toddlers nowadays are like that... Try making porridge..put in vege, carrots as colorings to attract her..

Hope it helps... =)

Happy Chinese New Year!

Oh...that is such a sweet pic!

The food thing is tricky...both of mine have gone through picky eating stages, and it's so frustrating for mom since we only want what's best for them.

One thing I always keep in mind, though, is that if they're hungry enough...they WILL eat what's given to them, and a few days of non balanced meals isn't going to hurt them.

I'm not one to give advice on the whole breast feeding thing, since I didn't do it for my kids...but if she's drinking your milk (which is the best thing for her), then she's guaranteed to be getting enough vitamins. It's also a comfort thing, so perhaps you could slowly replace that with cuddling while eating something tasty like a banana or something...

Hope you get it figured out...to me, she looks like a happy, healthy, well cared for baby...so I wouldn't worry too much about the food issue, and take time for the cuddles and kisses instead :D
