This village was built in 2007, bringing a new destination experience to the landscape of Khao Yai. Primo Posto del Khao Yai was indeed "the first", with its cozy collection of themed stores amidst a distinctly rural Italian setting.
Besides being a great place for a picturesque stroll, the little village square also hosts regular bazaars to showcase local produce and community events like weddings and birthday celebrations. Primo Posto's resounding success led to the establishment of Palio Khao Yai and its 120 stores two years later.

I love looking at your blog...I feel like I'm on a small trip. This village looks beautiful. Thank you for leaving a comment on my blog...you are so right, each time I say goodbye to my family, it does make seeing them sweeter the next time. Do you make the 2 hour flight to your family often?
Not often enough, I suppose. once or twice a year. Friends and family do come to Bangkok as well, so I hope the situation here is resolved soon, so that it becomes safe to visit again.

I think it would be a nice place for wedding shots or other photo shootings as well.
It is a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from Bangkok. The newer and larger Palio - 10 minutes drive from each other - is just as beautiful if not more so, though not as cozy.

The Italy themed village is very pretty, you would never know it was not in the countryside of Italy from the photo. I like the "getaway" kind of shopping trips these provide,very relaxing.
