The clashes headed for violent climaxes
Victims of a lock-down, we were bound
Will red shirt thugs misbehave, come at us with their battle axes
Will we really be safe, in our little compound
Buildings ablaze
The skies turned dark
We averted our gaze
To our prayers, will He hark
The bird was hardly breathing
Eyes closed, chest barely heaving
Some water we did bring
A few drops, on its beak sprinkling
Certain it was dying
We sought to give final blessing
Eyes closed, chest barely heaving
Some water we did bring
A few drops, on its beak sprinkling
Certain it was dying
We sought to give final blessing
First came a tentative quiver
Then a more vigorous shake
Eyes labored to open a sliver
And then glared wide awake
With a chirp, skyward it did soar
Fearless of flames in the background they did roar
Higher and higher, till it disappeared into Heaven
Firmer and firmer, our faith no one could threaten
Then a more vigorous shake
Eyes labored to open a sliver
And then glared wide awake
With a chirp, skyward it did soar
Fearless of flames in the background they did roar
Higher and higher, till it disappeared into Heaven
Firmer and firmer, our faith no one could threaten
When will the strife end?
When will all return to norm?
Our prayer for lives to mend
For healing to restore all form
A little bird came forth to remind us
Hope springs eternal, He will ne'er forsake us

The political unrest in Thailand is certainly very scary. Let's all hope there'd be an agreeable solution to end the blood shed and turmoil.
What an incredibly scary and difficult time it must be for you. You and your family are in my thoughts.
I'm sad for you. I hope your situation improves soon and you will not be in fear for you lives....
No words to describe the feelings this evokes.
Prayers are enroute to you.

I've been watching the troubles on the news. It looks just awful. I hope it all settles down soon.
I'm glad you were able to save the bird.
So very sad but your prose is lovely. Thinking of you in these difficult times.
No words, only tears. But I can pray OUR Father. . .Give US our daily bread. In Jesus we are one family, and we pray for our well being as a family. You are my sister, and I am on bended knee for you and yours.
Your prose is so sad but powerfully beautiful! I know what difficult times these are for you and yours. I send you many loving thoughts for you and your family. Take care.

What a test of faith. It's looking awful there, at least from here.
Good luck.

My son and his family live in Thailand and we've been following the events carefully. Hopefully things have calmed down and full peace is restored.
His last phone call indicated that there is an uneasy calm.
Your words are beautiful.
I should have listed where I post the ABC posts.
