Rest and Relaxation

I was not a very good girl for several nights. Mommy strained her back muscle tending to my needs and feeding me at night. Daddy suggested she go for a massage during Janelle's piano lesson; Andre and he would keep watch over me during her session.
We went to Healthland (Sathorn), one of the most established health spa chains in Bangkok. Paradorn Srichaphan, seeded World number 9 at his peak, was a client, so Daddy was confident of the skills and expertise of the staff there.
Surprisingly, the place was packed; the valet service even had a hard time juggling the number of cars. Walking into the reception, we immediately began to feel relaxed.
While you wait, you could sample the different essential oils and therapeutic scents, before deciding on your preference to be applied in your session.
Thai massage was too painful, and the next therapeutic massage staff would not be available till 4pm, so Mommy opted for the foot reflexology treatment. The therapist beckoned, and off they went down the halls and up the stairs into the "torture" chair...
It was Mommy's first time, so she did not know what to expect. Painful? Ticklish? Soothing? A little bit of everything. Most of the other "victims" ended up dozing off, punctuating the afternoon quiet with their light rhythmic snores.
Mommy's session lasted an hour... what did I do? Wandered around? Watched the people come and go? Listened to the sounds from the garden? Next time, I would get a massage too!

I hope you're ok because any strained or backache will surely creep back again if not treated properly when the injury occured. My husband had foot reflexology for a left foot pain and it helped tremendously with the healing process. Any massage is relaxing...except for deep tissue massage..very, very, very painful.

I had one professional foot massage in my entire life and I can still remember how wonderful it was! I always ask my husband to rub my feet and I tell him I'll pay him a thousand dollars to do it. I now owe him more than our national debt. :-)
