Before our trip to Singapore, Mommy announced that she planned to stop breastfeeding me. She had heard from her friends that it would take a week or longer for me to adjust. She needed everyone to support her.
But despite her best laid plans, when I felt tired and cranky and started to cry for her, Mommy did not hesitate to pick me up and breastfeed me as she kept on walking...

I think it took me about 6 months to completely wean my daughter. I know what you mean, when they're cranky, it's easier to give in.
Oh, I gave in for a long time too, and I don't regret that time at all, they grow up way too fast. I love the title of your post, I bet the original author wasn't wearing heels when he wrote it!
I was going to say the EXACT same thing as Rose and Anita. Do it as long as you want. These are precious moments. She is SO adorable. I love the age she is now. What a lovely baby girl Serline! Hope your trip was fantastic!
I have two adopted little girls but also have a bio son. I wish I'd breastfed longer. One of my few regrets...

Hi Serline, this way a baby feels comfort and love.
Some get off it early, some the slow train, but no worries.....you'll be fine soon.
Have fun and keep well, Lee.
don't worry about a thing...it'll all work out the way it is meant to. relax and keep loving that little baby...
I can only imagine letting go of this most intimate bond between mother and child ... no doubt it would be difficult for both, but for different reasons ... yet jointly, the underlined bond is not ready to be separated. But alas, it must ...
time will help ease that transition.
Hugs to you, my friend! :))
lol, it is hard to stop. It'll all happen when your both ready. :)
It's hard to stop those wonderful bonding time, she'll get used to it soon.
Good for you! You can both stop when you are both ready.
My daughter ended up weening herself for the most part. After a couple of days of her not wanting a feeding, she asked again but I ended up substituting a bottle and a book with extra snuggle time. Worked like a charm.
