Sitting alone

The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved. ~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Fantastic photo, Serline. And the words are pretty special, too. He isn't checking out his iphone, is he? Nah, he's not...

I so cherish my moments alone ... for I never tire of solitude. However, this gentleman looks so forlorn ... I have indeed felt loneliness, at times when missing my brother ... It breaks my heart to know that many in this world feel this corrosive ache simply because they have no one to love them. This is a mighty big world we live we in to leave behind so many lonely souls ... A small act of kindness or generosity can show great love.

There is a big difference between solitude and loneliness. Your photo is worth a 1,000 words.

Haunting and touching photo & quote Serline.

It goes with the Mother Teresa quote that's been in my head all weekend: "If you judge people, you have no time to love them."

I'm sensing a theme here that I need to open my eyes to.

I really don't know why I took this photo or posted it, but my heart aches for him and all the lonely and less fortunate each time I see this...

By the way, my hubby pointed out that this is my 400th published post. Yea!
