Wonderful Winter Feast

The Winter Solstice (冬至) is a major traditional festival in ancient China, but unlike most of the other festivals, it is based NOT on the lunar but the western calendar. As we would be heading home to Singapore before the actual day on Dec 22, our friends Zhirong and Angela invited us for an early celebration last Saturday.
A mix of dishes, starting with tortilla chips and veggie sticks in a salmon and salsa dips.
A little thirsty? Let's steal a sip of Daddy's Heineken ;-P
Me hungry? No...
Some of the Chinese and Thai dishes that filled up the whole table... yum!
Seasonal fruits to close out the feast...
... and finish with a flourish!

I ate at my first Thai restaurant last Friday. I am now such a fine of their Green Curry dish that I can't wait to go back.
Your photos of your food are wonderful and your little one is adorable.

I only recognize the strawberries on your fruit plate. Maybe melon and rambutan? I have no idea what the red pear shaped ones are. Interesting!
