Scavenger Hunt Sunday

1. HOT HOT HOT
Quenching our thirst in this hot Hot HOT weather with popsicles made from Minute Maid orange and fresh Lychee juices.

2. Finding Form
The "main character" of this photo - the cake - is mostly shape, but did you notice the "supporting cast": the little pink flower, the cream petals and the plate?

3. Front Page of the News
Left on their own, Janelle and Andre would only read the front pages of the "Entertainment" and "Sports" sections; Mommy cut out more meaningful news articles and left them under the dining table glass top to be their mealtime reads ;-P

4. Chore
When we buy the ready-to-eat Jackfruit packages from the supermarket, little do we know about the challenging chore it is to extract the pieces of fragrant fruit from the layers of protection. That is, until our part time maid, P'Noi, brought us one as a gift from her family orchard in Isan...

5. Beads
Janelle's jewelry stand... I want one too!

I want a jewelry stand like hers, too! :)

Aren't those popsicle containers with the sippy part the best --especially with the little ones? I love ours. They totally minimize the drips.

I love jackfruit and would never dream of hacking one up myself... too much trouble. Wow, a whole jackfruit --heaven!

I love these Scavenger hunts, you´ve found great ways to illustrate it! I just said to Buckeroomama that I think I need to join you (if I finally get where you find the topics, haha)! :-)

those popsicles look delicious!!! It was very hot here yesterday and we were at a picnic in the 90C degree heat, I could have used a popsicle then. Beautiful captures.

These are all really nice - I especially like your composition for front page of the news.

Beautiful shots! I want a jewelry stand like that. SOOO pretty. I also envy your popsicles and now really want some, though, I was never a big fan of lychee. My dad used to grow them, but never really learned to love the taste.

I had to click on your link when I saw your jewelry stand - I don't know if you've seen Cake Boss, but on one episode his team used a very similar stand to create one for a jewelry box cake - love all your shots!

I really love how you chose something that only makes an appearance when it's hot hot hot- instead of photographing the actual heat. Very creative & the composition is fantastic!
