Kennel Capers

Only dogs and little children are allowed to play here ;-P
You really want this treat, don't you, Snowy?

Ringo sneaked out and flanked me while I was distracted...

... here's your reward.
That's enough roughhousing for now. Take a breather, while I nap, OK?

Emporium Pet-a-Porter 2009

Here is a little background: We are a family of dog lovers. Daddy and Mommy used to volunteer at the SPCA in Singapore, even before my siblings were born. Not long after, Mommy became too distraught, when she discovered that the SPCA had to put down some 90% of the animals they rescued because of space constraint. It was necessary but painful nonetheless, especially when it happened to animals they nursed and babysat.

They left to help out at a private animal shelter, Noah's Ark, which was a no kill zone. In fact, Mommy only found out that she was pregnant with Janelle, when she bled while cycling on the way home from Noah's Ark. No more cycling or strenuous chores after that but off and on, whenever they could, they still visited to spend time with their four-legged pals.

You're always by my side...

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

Meet my furry friends

I spend much of the day with Mommy in the study. She is a real multi-tasker: while she taps me to semi-sleep in my rocker, she does her stuff on the computer, and eats breakfast and lunch as well. Our dogs, Snowy and Ringo will come in and join us in the cool air-conditioned room too. But Mommy hates it when they bark and disturb my sleep. Sometimes they get excited when they are playing, but most often they react instantly to the doorbell ringing. I get scared by the sudden loud noise, and it takes forever to stop me crying and back to sleep again.
