Things I like to do in the morning...
Daddy told us we would probably have to move to Bangkok soon. Mommy thinks I will not remember the place where I spent the first few months of my life, so she wants to use this as a detailed and lasting chronicle. Each morning, after breakfast and morning bath, Mommy puts me in my walker to play for a while before nap time. Today I had a new toy; I gripped it tightly so that I would not drop it wherever I roam. I could grasp the beach ball with my left hand and still hold the toy with my right.
I like to look out to the swimming pool. As long as the weather is good, I can look forward to an evening swim after our afternoon stroll. Mommy is afraid I will catch chills, so she will wrap me up in a towel, as soon as we get out of the pool. She has to make sure not to miss out anything, as leaving me alone even for a few seconds nowadays gives me enough time to put myself in danger - toppling out of the bathtub, falling off the bed, you name it!
I like to play with the dogs' food and water bowls. Making a mess is fun! Mommy learned the hard way to put things out of my reach. Snowy likes to be near me, but I respond by pulling her fur... sorry! Ringo is smarter and stays a safe distance away from me most of the time. But she did lick me a few times, while Mommy held on to my straining arms.
Ahhh, quarter past 10, it's nap time!

Leisure Time
The pool guy comes every Wednesday and Saturday. If the weather is good, I get to swim on Sunday, so I have to make sure he does a good job cleaning the pool. It had been raining for the past 2 weeks, and the water was very cold. But the rain finally stayed away this past weekend, so I could have my dip in the pool.
Daddy has been clearing his annual leave accummulated in 2008, so he is staying home on Fridays for a few weeks. Since my sister and brother are in school, Daddy, Mommy and I have a nice lunch in Laguna Phuket and then go grocery shopping at Tesco; we drop by BIS on the way home to pick up Janelle and Andre.
Saturday is movie and badminton day, and we usually finish the day with a short visit to Central for Ramen (Hachiban), Italian (Pizza Company) or Thai food (Yum Saap) and dessert (Swensen's).
God rested on Sunday, so do we, lazing around the house and pool. In a few months' time, we will start taking the dogs to the beaches again, like my family used to do before I arrived.

My Next Goal
Every time I come to these stairs, I wonder when I can climb up there and make a mess of Janelle and Andre's room. It should be quite an adventure, I can't wait...

Here we go!
I made a huge breakthrough. I used to be stuck either rolling left and right or crawling backwards. Yesterday, I had an epiphany and managed to crawl forward. Like an old hand, as you can see.
Soon, I shall be climbing, walking, running, representing Singapore in the Olympics 100m sprint! Catch me if you can...

Get me outta here!
I am bored! On weekdays, Daddy takes me out for a morning walk with the dogs before he goes to work. After my shower, I will take a nap. Two hours later, I will stick to Mommy until jie jie and kor kor arrive home from school in the evening. Sometimes Mommy takes me for a walk around our pool and let me touch the flowers and leaves if the weather isn't too hot. After Mommy prepares dinner, we will take a stroll outside the house. This is how we pass our time at home on the weekdays.

Miss Darlie
I am not as patient as I used to be. I get bored with sitting in the tub after I finish my bath, before Mommy has had the chance to finish her morning shower. So she tried showering first while letting me sit on the bathroom vanity and play with her toothbrush. Daddy was worried I might fall off and hurt myself, so Mommy has to find another way to keep me occupied while she showers...

Andre's Pet?
This lizard is Andre's favorite. It is about the size of his slipper and lives in our garden. The past 2 nights, though, it was wondering in the living room and Daddy shooed it out. I wonder what it eats...

Uninvited "Guest"

Living in Phuket, we are more in touch with nature. Often, this means we get uninvited "guests". Toads and lizards are regulars. So are giant varieties of beetles, caterpillars, centipedes and millipedes. Once in a while, we also come across land crabs and hermit crabs.Yesterday, Mommy and I were enjoying our morning bath, when she spotted this slimy slithering serpent at the window. Luckily the mosquito netting prevented it from sneaking in... Mommy quickly took a feather duster and sent it packing. Later, she sprinkled fresh sulphur outside the house to keep snakes away.

Daddy, what's that grey triangle thing moving towards us?
Enjoying a refreshing "toe dip" by the pool on a hot summer day. Oops, just about every day in Phuket qualifies as a "hot summer day"...

Meet my furry friends
I spend much of the day with Mommy in the study. She is a real multi-tasker: while she taps me to semi-sleep in my rocker, she does her stuff on the computer, and eats breakfast and lunch as well. Our dogs, Snowy and Ringo will come in and join us in the cool air-conditioned room too. But Mommy hates it when they bark and disturb my sleep. Sometimes they get excited when they are playing, but most often they react instantly to the doorbell ringing. I get scared by the sudden loud noise, and it takes forever to stop me crying and back to sleep again.

Tummy Time
I am starting to lift my head and push up on my arms to see Mommy. I'm exploring more and trying to inspect my surroundings. Mommy loves to make me laugh when I'm awake, and most often, she puts me on the mat in the study and gives me toys to entertain myself, so she can quickly update my blog...
