Happy dogs on a hot day

Oh what a hot day
Not a cloud in the sky
For relief we pray
Seems hopeless yet we try

Cool green grass at last
Our park to roam and play
Bow wow what a blast
Doggie heaven, hurray!

Just a little hug

“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.” ~ lynnie buttercup

Do you love me?

Whenever Mommy works on the computer, the dogs will sit patiently and wait for her. Nowadays, I will quietly crawl under the table and join Snowy and Ringo in their little vigil.

If she really cannot take my "abusive love" anymore, she will slink away and find a safer place. Mommy pities the dogs and wonders when I will finally learn how to pat gently and take care of them...

Don't bite my fingers

One for Snowy, one for Ringo and one more for me...?

Every morning after Daddy walks the dogs, I wait for him to clean and brush their fur before I offer them a treat. The look of eager expectation on their faces - while they wait patiently for me to unscrew the container - always made me wonder why the dogs loved these treats so much.

When nobody was watching, I took a nibble. Now I know...
