Scavenger Hunt Sunday
1. Landscape
Bangkok Landscape. That tallest building on the right is where I lived.
2. Complementary or Triadic Color
All aboard the sushi boat.
3. Black and White
Old dogs, like old shoes, are comfortable. They might be a bit out of shape and a little worn around the edges, but they fit well.
4. Food
I like to make this shrimp wontons with thin egg noodles at home for a simple dinner.
5. Blank Space

Evening walk
On our way to the park, we finally saw the sun after days of gray skies.
Nice sanctuary for walkers, joggers and cyclists, away from the busy road to enjoy some quiet and cool breeze.
Mommy took some bread for the terrapins in the lake, but I ate everything ;-P

Sunset
Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of Heaven. ~ John Lubbock
Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky. ~ Rabindranath Tagore

Feeling
Photography for me is not looking, it's feeling. If you can't feel what you're looking at, then you're never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures. ~ Don McCullin

Enjoy it
Maybe all it takes is a casual glance out the window...maybe because it's there everyday... we often take His wonderful creations for granted. It takes a majestic sunset like this to reminds us.

I love rain clouds
Raining in Bangkok keeps the air clean and cool. Hope the skies take a break when we return to Singapore tomorrow...
Yet rain clouds are the most beautiful;
They bring new dimensions to light, shadow and colours.
Clouds come floating into my life,
no longer to carry rain or usher storm,
but to add color to my sunset sky.
~ Rabindranath Tagore

Finally some respite...
... a bit of dry spell on Tuesday afternoon, so we drove along the beach road from Laguna Phuket to Patong Beach.
It might have been overcast, but everyone wanted to get in some fun before the next deluge; I wondered when I would be allowed to go parasailing like these folks...
It might have been the collective sighs in blog-sphere, but He heard our desperate prayers and delivered the first blue skies and sunny day in weeks to Phuket!
These beauties sure knew how to welcome the sun with the most radiant of smiles.
Janelle was running a bit of a fever, so Mommy did not want to take unnecessary risks and stay too long under the sun. But Daddy refused to let our first beach sunset in months slip by, so we headed to Lotus by the beach for dinner. We went on a stroll to work up an appetite...
At dusk, a blanket of clouds started to gather over the horizon and cut short the sunset, but all in all, the day had been good, enough to call for a celebration... Chai yo!

Skywatch Friday and Weekend Reflections
This was not our first visit to Saffron, but it was the first time we invited a guest there. Nice place for a comfortable sit-down dinner, to savour authentic Thai cuisine served by the most genial of staff.

Weekend Reflections
Me? You can count on me NOT sitting down!
While we waited for the appetizers to make their eagerly anticipated appearance, Mommy went down to the outdoor Latitude Bar on the 52nd floor for a little whirl.
Enjoy the cool breeze, street lights turning on and last rays of sunset before the dinner...

Sing your way home
Sunset is a reminder
no matter how wonderful a day has been
no matter how beautiful the things I've seen
It's time to go home with Mother
to the smells of dinner
to the splashing of bath water
to our home above
to the family I love
I'm ready to go home
